Robert M. Overstreet founded The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide in 1970. The book quickly established itself as the authoritative work in the field of comic book collecting. Supplemented by a series of periodicals and other projects, the Guide’s preeminent position with serious collectors has remained in tact in the years since. The book is now in its 38th edition.

He also is the author of The Overstreet Toy Ring Price Guide and The Overstreet Indian Arrowheads Price Guide, both considered to be the authoritative books in their respective fields.

He has been the subject of articles and interviews in many different trade and general publications

He sold his company, Overstreet Publications, to Gemstone Publishing in 1994, and continues to serve as author and/or publisher of Geppi's Entertainment Publishing & Auctions' line of books.
